Without an account

You can rewrite 2,000 characters at a time with no sign-up. There is no monthly meter for anonymous use — rate limiting does that job instead — so it is built for trying the product rather than working in it. Voice profiles need somewhere to live, so those begin with an account, or with Timbro running against no database at all, in which case they live in your browser.

How the metering behaves

What counts against my allowance?
The characters you submit for rewriting, spaces and punctuation included. Not what the model writes back, not the system prompts, and not the analysis, verification or repair passes — those are our cost to carry, and billing for them would make the number on your usage bar impossible to predict before you press the button.
What happens when a limit is reached?
The request is refused before any work is done, with a message that says how much you have used and of what. Nothing is silently truncated: a document over your per-rewrite ceiling is rejected rather than quietly cut short and rewritten in part. Allowances reset at the start of each calendar month.
What does the Free plan leave out?
Volume, voice profiles, and most of the rewrite modes. Free covers 2 of the 7 modes and keeps no voice profiles, so Write Like Me needs a paid plan. The verification pass that checks every number, quotation and citation back against your draft runs on every plan, including the free one — that part is not a feature to be sold.
Does Premium rewrite any better?
No. Every plan runs the same pipeline, the same models and the same verification pass, so the quality of the writing is not the thing being sold. Premium buys room: 2,500,000 characters a month and up to 6,000 in a single pass, which is a long document rather than a section of one.
